Specialist Dr. Çiğdem Çolak Kalaycı I graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 2009. I completed my psychiatry specialization training at Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training and Research Hospital and received the title of Mental Health and Diseases Specialist. In order to contribute to my professional development, I also received a master's degree at Ege University, Department of Women's Studies.
Psychological traumas and women's mental health stand out among my areas of work.
Throughout my career, I have aimed to support people in maintaining their spiritual well-being, coping with the psychological difficulties they experience and improving their quality of life. Depression, anxiety disorders, stress-related mental problems, post-traumatic psychological difficulties, mood disorders and the effects of life events on mental health are among my areas of study.She is particularly interested in women's mental health, trauma, migration and refugee mental health; I evaluate my clients from a holistic perspective, believing that each individual's life story, experiences and needs are unique. While using up-to-date approaches based on scientific foundations during the treatment process, I take care to establish a trust-based and non-judgmental communication.
I took part in various professional studies within the Turkish Psychiatric Association and Izmir Medical Chamber. I aim to offer my clients the most up-to-date and effective treatment methods by closely following scientific developments in the field of mental health.
I believe that mental health is one of the basic elements of quality of life, and I am happy to support individuals in need to better understand themselves and make positive changes in their lives.
