About
Specialist Dr. Ali Cerrahoğlu; After graduating from Tarsus American College in 1978 and Hacettepe Medical Faculty in 1984, I started my journey in medicine. In 1990, I completed my specialty training at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital and became a Family Medicine Specialist.
After working as a physician and chief physician in primary and secondary care for many years, I moved to the private sector and currently manage the Tarsus American College clinic, an international boarding school, and work as a school doctor. I practice medicine remotely in international systems. My special interests are general medicine, undifferentiated patients, healthy lifestyle, preventive medicine, infectious diseases, reproductive health, family planning, athlete health, obesity and healthy nutrition, hypertension, adolescent health. I focused on remote healthcare.Throughout my career, I have constantly improved my competence by participating in national and international training programs. I became an EURACT member trainer by completing both stages of the Trainer Training program carried out in cooperation with Çukurova University and Tel Aviv University. I worked as a Master Trainer in the Family Medicine Practice of the Ministry of Health. I also gained competence in the field of occupational medicine by completing the Turkish Medical Association's Type A and B occupational medicine certificates.
I completed my compulsory civil service at Muğla Yatağan Kavaklıdere Health Center and my military service at Samsun and Ankara Anıttepe Gendarmerie Dispensaries.
I contributed to the training of many physicians and health professionals as the Family Planning Certification Training Responsible Trainer at Tarsus Mother and Child Health and Family Planning Center, where I worked in 1992. I worked as chief physician in the same institution until 2010. During this process, I gained extensive experience in the fields of public, private sector and institutional medicine. I still continue my studies in school and workplace medicine.
International SuccessBy achieving an important success in the field of medicine that makes Turkey proud, I was deemed worthy of the "5 Star Doctor of Europe" award, which is given to a physician every year by the European Family Physicians Association (WONCA Europe). This title, which is considered one of the most prestigious medical awards in Europe, is given to a physician who possesses the five basic characteristics determined by the World Health Organization: "caring for patients, making decisions, communicating, being a community leader and managing a team" at the highest level.
I received this valuable award at the European Family Medicine Congress, held in Istanbul on 22-25 October 2015, with the participation of 3,500 physicians from 80 countries. Being selected as Europe's "5 STAR DOCTOR" by WONCA Europe in 2015 was one of the most honorable points of my professional life.
My goal throughout my professional life is; Our aim was to produce accessible, scientifically based and sustainable health services that prioritize people. I continue to serve with the same passion and determination.
